When my precious little girl was 4 years old, she wanted to do a Mud Masque like Mommy was doing. Knowing that the Dead Sea Mud had a thermal reaction on the skin due to its high mineral content, I was not comfortable putting it on young, tender skin. Well, you know how children are - they never give up! She kept on until I formulated a masque she could use. I realized if a 4 year old could use this masque, then more than likely almost anyone should be able to. This masque is a myriad of 3 skin-beneficial muds Dead Sea Mud, Balneo Peat & Bohemian Sapropel Mud. Then we added 5 botanical extracts, Certified Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Roman Chamomile Hydrosol, the soothing & healing powers of Allantoin & Panthenol along with a Proprietary Essential Oil Blend known to help soothe sensitive skin. Whether you trying to achieve a firmer and more toned appearance or if you are wanting to draw out toxins & impurities, this incredible body mud is your answer! Use plastic wrap to encompass the treated area, then apply topical heat such as linen wraps soaked in very warm water with your choice of aromatherapy oils, to aid in relaxation while you rest. Place a heating pad over treated area for additional surface heat. (Important! Always place your pad on Medium heat when beginning a treatment like this. You can go warmer, however, some pads get extremely hot and coupled with this high mineral content mud, you could cause a surface burn.) Or, use a space blanket to capture existing body heat!   Dead Sea Hair Masque

         I personally battled a combination of psoriasis & seborrhea on my scalp and neck for over 16 years. I went to every doctor I could find. They all prescribed steroid creams & nasty shampoos that would literally trash my hair making it brittle and unmanageable. The creams and ointment were never effective enough to heal or completely clear up the condition and when I ran out the product, the condition returned with a vengeance! In the summertime the seborrhea condition would reach a high peak and my scalp would have oozing, draining spots all over it. My hair would get matted to the spots and would cause burning and itching due to hair spray. Then a mild infection would set in and my hair would begin to fall out in those areas. My husband described it as “hot spots” you see on a dog. My self esteem was at the lowest point during those years. I felt like a leper. The words, “Unclean! Unclean!” kept ringing through my head.

            I had been researching & studying natural alternative medicines & treatments for about a year when I ran across information that mentioned Dead Sea Mud would strengthen hair roots. I just happened to have some that I used for a facial mask, so I decided I had nothing to lose. Not to mention the fact that if I didn’t do something, I may be bald one day! So out of sheer vanity I began doing mud treatments to my hair. My first encounter was anything but pretty! The mud made my hair feel like a horse’s tail – however, I noticed my scalp didn’t itch after the first treatment. So I started blending various ingredients I had researched such as 12 different botanical extracts, 9 essential oils, organic avocado pulp & powdered whole eggs. Then I added a conditioner that contained our High Magnesium Dead Sea brine. To deepen the treatment I covered my scalp with a shower cap, wrapped snuggly with plastic wrap and applied a heating cap for 45 minutes. When I rinsed out the product my hair felt incredible and I styled as usual. I applied the hair masque to my hair 5 days a week for 8 weeks.

            I had a habit of slipping my hand under my hair to feel the scalp and make sure I didn’t have any scabs that may be seen by someone. On my 8^th week I did my “scalp check” and to my amazement I was unable to locate any loose skin! I started running my hands all through my hair with excitement. I needed a confirmation to my discovery so I ran into my husband’s office and asked him to check my scalp & neck for any signs of psoriasis and/or seborrhea. He was in shock that I would let him near my hair – in the entire time we had been together (which had been 15 years at that point), I wouldn’t let him touch my hair because I felt so nasty & disgusted with the scalp issues I had. He graciously checked me and said that he found no signs of the disease ever being present. He said the skin on my scalp & neck looked absolutely normal – as if there had never been a sickness present! I was absolutely ecstatic!

          That was in June of 2000. I have remained completely “clean” with no reoccurrence of the disease on my scalp & neck. I do a treatment now once a week on Saturday evening and I do not have wash my hair in-between. This wonderful hair masque has received more compliments and achieved the most amazing results for psoriasis, eczema & dandruff sufferers! It helps tame stubborn gray hair, allows hair coloring & texture services to take better and last longer. It is a natural clarifier – thus keeps blonde hair from turning brassy.         For about 20 years I have battled with Psoraisis and lost.
